Gilt Bronze Ormolu Mounts
Many of our styles employ Gilt Bronze Ormolu. Ormolu was first produced in France in mid-17th Century. During the reign of The Sun King, Louis XIV, gilt bronze ormolu mounts were used in abundance. Opulence was the order of the day and Chinese porcelains were in Vogue.
Gilt Bronze Ormolu or “Dore´ Bronze“ as is commonly referred to, is used today in the same manner - as fashionable decorative embellishments - the mark of fine quality craftsmanship. These embellishments were traditionally reserved for only the costliest Chinese & European wares and the finest European furnishings.

For your convenience, each product in this category is identified by a Style and a Collection. These are located to the right of the Product Image. These are put in place to allow you to custom create the Porcelain of your choosing. Any style can be created into any pattern of your choosing.
Ordering is easy, Simply e-mail the Salon with the style number and the name of the collection and we will see if it is readily available, if it is not, it may take up to three months to be crafted and shipped to the Salon. It is that easy.
